Auch wenn der Bausatz UH-1D sagt, gebaut wird eine UH-1H .....  :6:
Und wenn nahezu jedem ein olivfarbener bei Vietnam in den Sinn kommt. Meiner wird silbern mit blau.

Worum geht es. Im Vietnamkrieg flog die "Air America" für die CIA eine Vielzahl von Einsätzen in der Grauzone zwischen militärisch und zivil. Das beste Wort ist wohl paramilitärisch.

Ein solcher Huey ist auch für den m.W. ersten verbürgten Abschuss eines Starrflüglers durch einen Hubschrauber. Dabei wurde durch eine Air America Crew eine Antonov 2 "Colt" im Grenzgebiet zwichen Loas und Vietnam abgeschossen, wobei der Bordmechaniker eine AK-47 zuhilfe nahm.

Vom eigentlichen Bauberich ein erstes Foto der ersten Baustufe, dem Innenraum des Huey.
Bemal in Aquacolor Farben, teils gepinselt, teils mit der Airbrush.
Mit Ölfarben strukturiert und mit einen Bleigewicht vorn versehen ...

Das Cockpit schaut spitzenmäßig aus, allein die Strukturen der Sitze sind schon ein wahrer Hingucker  :klatsch: .

BTW. der Heli der die AN-2 abschoss war ein UH-1D.

ein absolut beeindruckendes Cockpit hast Du da erschaffen, das sieht wirklich hammermäßig genial aus!  :1: :klatsch:

Hast Du das alles so aus der Schachtel gebaut oder das noch mit irgendwelchen Ätzteilen etc. verfeinert?

Kann man echt nur staunen, was in diesem kleinen Maßstab so alles möglich ist!  :1:

Wenn man hier mal schaut sieht man das Pitotrohr oberhalb des Cockpits.

Wenn man Wikipedia glauben darf ist das aber ein Indikator für einen UH-1H. Viele der UH-1D wutrden auf den UH-1H Standard umgerüstet.

das ist ja echt cool, hier habe ich den direkten Vergleich zum 48er-Innenraum meiner 'H'. Hier sieht man auch sehr gut die Auswirkungen des deutlich kürzeren Rumpfs der 'D'. Viel Platz gabs da nicht.
Die Details sind gar nicht mal schlecht. Bin gespannt, was Du da noch rauszuholen vermagst!

Der Rumpf der D ist nicht kürzer als der der H nur das Triebwerk ist stärker.

Die zivile Version 205 entsprach der H Ausführung daher ist Pitotrohr auch auf dem Cockpitdach. Aus den Aufzeichnungen geht ja auch hervor das die XW-PFJ 3211 / N47004 direkt bei Bell gekauft wurde.

Hmm, stimmt. Dann ist die Gestaltung des Innenraums wohl nicht ganz maßstabsgerecht. Zwischen den Einzelsitzen und der Sitzreihe ist beim Original deutlich mehr Platz.

Dass der Innenraum nicht 100% passt, das habe ich mir schon gedacht. Bei einem Bausatz, der so alt ist wie ich ann ich das verschmerzen ...

@pixeluser: Dann sollte das von der äußeren Form her gehen ... die Turbine ist nirgendwo, außerdem dem Auslass, irgendwo dargestellt ...

Kleiner Fortschritt. Vor dem Schließen der Rumpfhälften wollte ich unbedingt einen Piloten haben.
Ich hatte keinen, also habe ich einen aus Apoxie Sculp modelliert und bemalt.
Bei den Fenstern kann man ihn später erahnen.

Wenn man keine Figur hat, macht man sich halt eine... :respekt:  Sieht gut aus.

Werde mir auf jeden Fall den weiteren Bau der UH-1 auch anschauen. Das ist definitiv eins der für mich interessanteren Projekte in dem Groupbuild...  ;)
